On the occasion of the European heritage days celebration, 15th and 16th of September 2007, the gardens and park's doors of the castle of Fontaine la Soret were wide open so that everybody can make the most of the beautifull XVIIIth century equestrian building "Le manège" with its classified frame, registered to the french heritage registry and the marvelous gardens, calling on pleasant and bucolic charm of a walk.

These heritage days celebration were a first occasion to celebrate all the heritages :

  • historical heritage
  • cultural heritage.

Two spectacles where presented by the company hu=mus for their very new festival called “Un air de campagne ” (a countryside aria) int the huge equestrian building, henceforth arranged as a lovely rural theatre.

By its solid framework and its luminous openings in the roof, the questrian building diffuses inimitable and sparkling sounds and lights taking on these fantastic spectacles their full meaning .

By the end of each spectacle, all were invited to a little get-together where everyone was able to congratulate the artists of the company hu=mus and thanks the owner's castle for their kindness.

An exposure of modern sculptures of the artist George Meublat completed the nice feeling calling to imagination and dream.

There is no doubt that everybody, visitors, artists and organizers, will preserve pleasant memories and will come back the next year.

Company "hu=mus"

Hureau et Hussenet, spectacle du coq à l'âne, 2007

Less than one year ago was created in the village of Fontaine la Soret a new theatre company: hu=mus.

Olivier Hussenet and Serge Hureau, have experimented theatre for years, stills associating song, dance and music.

A meeting between owners of the castle and company hu=mus, gave rise to this new festival "Patrimoine&Chansons".

The first edition of this festival named “un air de campagne ” received a strong success, full house up to the last row, .

Serge Hureau and Olivier Hussenet presented two spectacles judiciously mingling theatre and songs with their sometimes affligeantes but still sublime jokes.

“Entre le verger et le potager" ( Between the orchard and the kitchen garden).

It's in an anthology of songs evoking the kitchen garden, the orchard, the garden, the kitchen, the table… that Serge Hureau and Olivier Hussenet mixed from XVIth century to our days and from all styles, as madrigal or Bourvil's and Fernadel's songs. They were accompanied for this spectacle by as much great and sympathetic artists:

  • Alain Aubin, against-tenor;
  • François Marillier, musical arranger, percussionnist and man of theatre;
  • Claude Barthélemy, composer and guitarist, unrivalled musician of jazz, rock'n'roll and contemporary musics.

“Du côq à l'âne” (...ants in one's pants)

Brilliant and experienced alchemists of the comedy, Serge Hureau and Olivier Hussenet associated for this event with Jean-François Zygel, created an artistic mixture, mixing the scientist and the popular, the classical music and light music, the adult and children dreams.
This marvellous concoction offered to all spectators, an wonderfull work whose success was confirmed by a thundering encore at the end of the representation. Also remarkable, Pierre Yvrard accompanied the jolly fellows throughout this animated spectacle.
